I am a moron sometimes, natch.

Listening to: Blessed blessed silence
Mood: D'oh!

Just had one of those total "d'oh" moments where I realised that "natch" as in "I like children, as long as they're not little shits, natch" is short for "naturally". I understood the meaning, but it had really never occurred to me where it came from. Thankfully, the glorious internets inform me that I am not the only one who has had this trouble with it.

New book looks awesome. So! Book photos. Here we go!

the cover
the inside of the book
the spine

It measures about 10cm by 15cm and is covered in part of an obi, which is woven silk thread. The inside is standard printer paper, just cut down to size, and it is bound with linen mull and crochet thread. The cover is artists' board and the inlay is sugar paper since I couldn't find any handmade Japanese paper to use...

New things I have learned:
- Clingfilm is more your friend than tinfoil will ever be.

- Check how stiff your material is before you cut it.

- More practise at making the corners is required.
