I am working on another theory. While perusing YouTube as I do in order to give me music while I mark, I found a clip of the movie version of Pinball Wizard by The Who (which incidentally is sung by Elton John). It reminded me of Roger Daltrey's hair, which in turn reminded me of Robert Plant's hair, which led to a curious train of thought...
Do I only like singers (or bands- two for the price of one) with curly hair?
By like, I mean *really* like. I tested this theory with The Eagles (4/5 curly), and Glenn Frey is a fellow curly-head (when he's not got it shorn short). My research is proceeding.
Perhaps it is merely that only curly headed people grow their hair long and rock out, but I suspect that is not the case.
If you feel so inclined, please do research bands that you know I like.
So far, Freddie Mercury is giving me pause, but wouldn't you say Brian May (omg, wrist) compensated on the band front there? And anyway, Freddie Mercury's hair was kinda curly when it was long...
(Note to self. Watch "Tommy" ASAP.)
