Dear Yuletide Secret Santa
First of all, hello.
If you've already perused my blog and gone "OH MY GOD WHAT IS IT WITH THIS PERSON AND NAKED DIRK PITT?" I can obviously only say that I'm sorry, the hairy manliness made me do it. If you haven't already perused my blog, that probably hasn't made a lot of sense to you.
Broadly I like:
- Funny, snarky, in-character dialogue.
- "Awww" moments
- Resolved angst
- Explosions
- Plot
I dislike:
- Mpreg
- Fandom characterisation (not that that's a real problem here...)
- Parody fics, unless they're short and well done
More specifically:
- Perry Mason:
I love Paul Drake and his little character quirks. His habit of invading the chair in Perry's office is one of my favourites but I would be equally happy to get a random interaction between him and Perry (including Della or not as you like). Paul/Perry friendship is the ideal, maybe after the conclusion of a successful case?
-Withnail & I:
If you can write them in character, I will love you forever. Heavy on the funny interactions, light on the "we are parting forever" angst would be better. Failing that, I am always open to fics of the "they meet after 'I' has become successful" type.
-Sahara:
Dirk/Al. All the way. Action filled plot, fighting, explosions (did I mention I like explosions?) and Matthew McConaughey. Get Sandecker in too and I will be *very* pleased!
-Cadfael:
Any actual slash with the Hugh/Cadfael pairing puts me off, but "awww" moments are wonderful between these two. Considering the sad lack of Cadfael fic on the 'net, anything would please me immensely, so knock yourself out! If you have a previously unfulfilled desire to write Olivier De Bretagne, please do!
Basically, anything that appears in any of these fandoms would please me. Fic makes me happy. :D
